Packing List

What to bring:

  • Sleeping bag, blankets, pillow and pillowcase
  • Duffel bag or light luggage
  • Clothing for 16 days including underwear, socks, t-shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, warm jacket, long pants, etc.
  • Swimsuits and towels, Brantwood recommends at least 2 of each
  • Rain gear (jacket, poncho, rainboots)
  • Sturdy sneakers (2 pairs if possible)
  • Toiletries, including toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, soap, shampoo, etc.
  • Flashlight and batteries, Brantwood recommends extra batteries
  • Disposable Camera
  • Day backpack and water bottle
  • Baseball/softball glove, this is optional and if you do bring one please make sure your name is clearly written on the glove
  • Writing materials (paper, pencils, pens, envelopes, stamps)
  • $20-$25 to spend at the Camp Store
  • Hat or bandana
  • Insect repellent (no aerosols please)
  • On the last night of each session, Brantwood holds a Prize Night for the campers. Many campers choose to dress up for this event so campers may wish to pack one nice outfit/dress Prize Night.

Please leave at home:

These items are not permitted in the camper living areas or storage and will be collected for safe keeping for the duration of a session. Brantwood Camp is not responsible for any loss or damage incurred to the below mentioned items if they are brought to Camp.

  • Chewing gum
  • Cigarettes/chewing tobacco/matches/lighters
  • Fireworks/Sparklers
  • Camping and pocket knives or other weapons
  • All battery powered and/or electrical appliances including: Video games, radios, walkmans, portable televisions, cell phones, and pagers
  • Expensive cameras
  • Expensive, designer or valued clothing
  • Make-up, jewelry, perfume, or hairspray
  • Hairdryers or curling irons
  • Aerosols
  • Alcohol/Illegal Drugs

 

Brantwood Camp Packing Tips:

Brantwood Camp does not provide laundry facilities, please pack enough for 16 days. Storage space is limited so only bring items that you will need. It is recommended that campers pack a variety of clothing keeping in mind that there will be hot weather, cooler weather, and potentially rainy weather.

 

Your Belongings:

Brantwood Camp recommends that all clothing and items that you bring to camp be labeled with your name. Brantwood makes every reasonable effort to return belongings that are left behind at Camp and on buses to the correct owner, but Brantwood is not able to guarantee the return of all left behind pieces of clothing, luggage, or other personal belongings. Brantwood Camp is not able to incur the expense of mailing left behind articles and will only ship articles back to their owner as Cash on Delivery (COD).

To avoid leaving your belongings behind please be sure to check the Lost and Found at Camp before you leave and to check that you have all of your luggage, sleeping bags, pillows, backpacks, etc. before leaving the drop off locations on the last day of Camp.

Brantwood does not keep any left behind items for more than 7 days.
